Thanks to Francis Benjamin, chair of the National Lentil Festival’s “Largest Bowl of Lentil Chili,” Community Action Center and some great volunteers worked to rescue nearly 40 gallons of lentil chili, repack it into 1 gallon zip-lock bags, and are distributing the chili to local families visiting the Community Food Bank at Community Action Center.

Tom Handy, owner of Paradise Creek Brewery, welcomed the leftover chili into the kitchen walk-in cooler, and then a small team gathered to re-pack the chili for distribution! Thanks to everyone who helped as a community to provide Enough Good Food for ALL our Neighbors!
