After signing a Property Use Agreement back in 2012, allowing the City of Pullman to build a highway “wayside” on a small portion of Community Action Center’s Davis Way property, Executive Director Jeff Guyett (in picture at right) joined Paul Kimmell (second from right) and community members and leaders on May 16th at the site for a Groundbreaking ceremony. This post’s featured photo shows the Pullman City Council members digging in to start of the Wayside construction.
Mayor Johnson (in picture at center), also our Board Vice Chair, shared the process started back in 2010, and then the community came together to plan and fund the Wayside Welcome area. The Wayside will feature the word “Welcome” in 60 languages on large lettering facing the highway.
